About Gyeonggi-do
Gyeonggi-do is a province located in the central western part of Korea. It surrounds the cities of Seoul and Incheon, and is bordered by Hwanghae Province (North Korea) to the north, Gangwon Province to the east, South Chungcheong Province to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the west. Gyeonggi Province consists primarily of a fertile plain along the Han River. People have resided in this area for thousands of years.

Salary: 2.0m-2.3m won

Required Documents
1. Application Form
- The applicant must fill in the GEPIK application form, an autobiography, the self-medical check form and a passport size photo.
2. Formal Resume (including a cover letter)
- A current resume with a cover letter is required.
1. Include your original university degree from an accredited university or college (Bachelor¡¯s Degree or higher), or a notarized copy. If you choose to use a notarized copy, you must attach an Apostille Authentication to it.
2. Criminal Background Check with Apostille Authentication
Your criminal background check must be a state level or higher. The criminal background check issued by sheriffs or county is not acceptable. It can take between three to six weeks to process a criminal background check. A criminal background check is valid for only six months after it is issued. After getting your criminal background check, you must send (or visit in person) your criminal background check to the Secretary of State to get it notarized.

3. Three Official Sealed Transcripts
Your transcripts must be officially sealed with a stamp or signature over the seal. Transcripts without a stamp or signature are not accepted at the Korean Immigration Office, which is one of the most frequently occurring mistakes made by applicants. You are required to send two transcripts to Korea (agency or school). The Korean Consulate may ask you to submit a transcript even after you get a visa issuance number from the Korean Immigration Office.
4. Health Statement
This is a simple questionnaire that you will have to fill out regarding your health. You will be required to take a medical examination after arriving in Korea. The medical examination includes questions about TBPE, HIV and other communicable diseases. If you cannot pass the examination, your visa will be canceled and you will your contract may be severed.
5. A Passport Photocopy
The passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of acceptance. It does not need to be notarized or apostilled.
6. Original School Contract (3 sets)
Your contract will be sent to you by email after you and the schools make an agreement for your employment. Please put your sign on each page of contract.
7. Four Passport-Sized Photos
You are required to send three passport-sized photos to Korea. Three of the photos will be used in Korea for your visa issuance number, medical examination and Alien Registration Card. You will need to have one when you apply for your visa at the Korean Consulate.
8. Two Sealed Recommendation Letters (From a professor or a former employer, issued within the past 6 months)
9. (If applicable) Copies of Certification (Teacher¡¯s Certificate, TESOL, etc.)
10. (If applicable) Proof of Teaching/Work Experience (Employment period)
